A bit of historical fact
The Scottish Dirk was a favorite sidearm of the wild Highlanders for many centuries. Descendent from the Medieval ballock knife, the dirk was excellent both as a utility piece and as a weapon. Frequently the dirk had a smaller knife that piggy backed in the sheath. This small knife was used for lesser chores as well as eating.

2008 dues are due on January 1, please be advised that the web codes will change on March 31, 2008. New web access codes are sent with your renewal letter. Renewal reminders are not normally sent by mail because of high postage expenses and the intensive labor involved. We try to inform via the web site and an occasional mailed bulletin.
